SkyWorld hosted two weekends of friendly chess tournaments in its aim to connect the community and cultivate a healthier activity for the children. More than 1,000 grade-schoolers registered and pulled out their chess boards for a tournament co-organised by SkyWorld and Mega Chess Academy.
760 registrants, age between 8 to 18 years old took part in the 2-day Chinese Chess Tournament. The competition starts at 8:30 am and ended at 6:00 pm. More than RM6,700 prizes were won by winners from 3 categories. Parents who showed up to support their children were also treated to artistic crystal-clear candles and caricature mementos.
390 registrants, age between 8 to 16 years old took part in the 1-day English Chess Tournament. The competition starts at 8:30 am and ended at 6:00 pm. More than RM3,000 cash, medals, and certificates were won by winners from 4 different age categories. Parents who showed up to support their children were also treated to unique caricature mementos.
